Cords

You have started really playing interactively with your toy trucks. Before, you would just roll them back and forth, staring at the wheels or talking softly to the truck as it rolled. Now, your trucks have jobs and roles within a story. You are "on the way to a rescue", "stuck with a broken wheel", or "heading to the fire".

Along with this, you are fScinated with cords and strings. You wore them around and around and through the inside of the cab of the truck, then take the other end and coil it around the door knob, then say. "Oh no, I stuck!  Help!"

What are you doing....New Years eve?

Having a party at 8pm, that's what!!
" What does the fox say?" Was your favorite dancing song. I wish I could have gotten your awesome dance moves on tape but your dance fever wore off quickly!

Parallel Play with Nathan

We had Katie and Nathan over for a wild rompus. You two played together occasionally, but you mostly played beside each other. I noticed that your sisters were further along socially, interactively playing with peers at this age.

Of course, some of it was that it is hard to share your brand new toys.

Night Shift Before Christmas

All 3 of you (6 sawyer kids) were in the Christmas play at church!  Aunt Michelle and I both had to step in as last minute shepherds because you and Nate would not stop crying unless you were holding our hands.
