Staunton River State Park!!

Every year we go on a vacation in the fall. This year because of Rubys play, we're going a little bit later than usual. When daddy told me we were going camping late December, I told him he was crazy. 

However, it has completely surprised me by turning out to be one of my favourite vacations ever. The weather is high 60s and 70s. Everyone is the for the most part, getting along- without a television!! (Miracle!!)

We have had hot chocolate, while sitting together by the warm fire, listening to Little Women, The Grinch, and "'twas the night before Christmas". 

There were some bumps in the road.. Like when I decided to wash all the clothes by hand... In a cooler... With shampoo... Thanks to a kind forest ranger, that problem was solved also. 

So...Merry Christmas my love. It's just two days away.

Today is a perfect day. Both mommy and daddy are home with all of our babies on a Wednesday. We just got home from IHOP, and Katie is here for a play date. We are playing with barbies and watching wizard of oz.

Baby boy, it is nights like this that I look back on these pictures of my babies and know how I have to savor each moment that I have with you.

"That's My favorite song"

Every year around this time, we listen to Marcia Lewis' album, "Dancin' with Mr. Bones". It has lots of great interactive Halloween songs. 

This is the first year that you have paid attention to it, and you really love the title song of the album. We are learning our body parts too!  You are so cute when you sing the words, each time with a question. Hip bone "hip bone?"  

Superman

In tangent with your dress-up phase you are also really into Superman. 

The backpack that I picked out for you for school was obviously Superman. Unfortunately Superman is missing.  So today I had to fight the bullet and buy you a new backpack. Trucks.  with lights you are welcome. 

"Puppy Gog"

You have these last few weeks become very attached to your black-and-white puppy "gog". 

You seek him out after you fall down and you like him at Bed time.
